Heartland Resources Receives Grant Through United State Bank Partnership


United State Bank, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, presented a grant to Heartland Resources, Inc. through the Member Impact Fund. This matching grant program is designed to amplify the community engagement of FHLB Des Moines member institutions that support local housing, business, and economic needs.

“We truly appreciate your bank nominating us for this grant,” said Angie Sullivan, Executive Director of Heartland Resources. “It will be invaluable for our effort to serve the senior citizens of Lewis County, whose needs far exceed the governmental funding available. Thanks to donations like yours, we are able to respond to requests immediately.”

In Missouri, 956 applications received funding through partnerships with 174 member institutions. FHLB Des Moines matched $3 for every $1 contributed by a member institution, resulting in a combined $25.9 million being awarded to nonprofit organizations across the state.

United State Bank, headquartered in Lewistown, has operated since 1922 and has six branches across Missouri. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines serves 13 states and three U.S. specific territories as a member-owned cooperative.
