Quincy Races Again; Journalist Notebook & Photo Gallery

Quincy, Ill — FINALLY! Racing is back at the Broadway Bullring. After six long weeks, the motors revved across the track. It also seemed like there was some rust on returning drivers. There was a lot of bumping and grinding, as well as plenty of cautions to go around.

Also, some new designs came into town. Specifically, Landon Neisen’s new ride. Which brings me to this edition of my favorite car design of the night. The winner is Landon Neisen’s K-Pop Demon Hunter 4-cylinder as it makes its long-awaited season debut. Still some kinks to be worked out on the car.

I don’t know if I’ve gotten a chance to say this in my journal. But the Crown Vic is my favorite class. It might not be the fastest. But it is definitely one of the most chaotic classes to watch. Typically called a beginner’s class. It has a healthy mix of vets and newcomers just wanting to get out on the track and race. I’m sorry if you find this blasphemous as a race fan. But I will always love the Vics.

With that being said. Here is this edition’s photo gallery from Quincy Raceways’ July 5th racing.
