Quincy Races Return After Six Weeks
Quincy, Ill — Quincy Raceways finally returned to action after a six-week hiatus. The racing crew looked to make up for lost time, and the night proved that racing in Quincy was back.
After heat racing, the IMCA Late Model Dash saw Quincy’s Jake Griffin pick up the win in the six-lap race.

The Crown Vic feature opened the night, with Carter Goodwin leading most of the race before exiting late and allowing Alex Hatfield in the #10 to take the win for Quincy. Jaden Delonjay charged from eight spots back to finish second, and Lewistown’s Brian Kaylor took third with a rear bumper cover flapping in the wind.

The IMCA Late Models returned to the track, with Denny Woodworth of Mendon jumping from a second-place start to hold the lead and win in the #45. The #22 of Austen Becerra finished second, and Tommy Elston in the #54 held third place.

The DirtCar Modifieds saw Wentzville’s Rick Conoyer in the #14 pick up the feature win. Brighton’s Jacob Rexing finished second in the 59R, and Fenton, MO’s Ken Schrader climbed from seventh to take third.

The IMCA Northern SportsMods saw Reed Wolfmeyer in the 2W pick up the win. Tanner Klingele in the 73X challenged him to the finish line, and Josh Dietrich of Clayton, IL finished third after climbing six spots from ninth.

The DirtCar Street Stocks saw Jacob Rexing stay dominant on the season and pick up another win in the class. Canton’s Brandon Boden climbed from third to finish second, and George Wilson in the 138 took third.

In the DirtCar 4 Cylinders, Hannibal’s Dyllan Bonk would nab a dominant feature victory as if he’d never left the Bullring. The #71 of Kimberly Abbott would climb from fourth to nab a second-place finish, and Tim Westenhaver Jr would take the 4T4 to third after an eighth-place start, completing the top three.

The Quincy Raceways will look to continue the action on Sunday, July 12th. Check out the action in the Photo Gallery HERE.
