Culver-Stockton Volleyball Honor Seniors, Win Over Coyotes

Canton, MO — The Culver-Stockton Wildcats earned their second conference win over the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes and honored their seniors on senior night.

After honoring their seniors, the Wildcats saw the Coyotes take an early advantage with a five-point run, claiming the first set 26-24.

However, the remainder of the sets would go the Wildcats’ way, with dominant second- and third-set victories, 25-12 and 25-19. The final set would be closer, but the Wildcats stayed in it and won 25-23 to take the match 3-1.

Freshman Cooper Varner lead the team with 13 kills on the day.

The Wildcats improve to 4-12 overall, 2-14 in the conference. The Wildcats will head on the road to finish their road schedule, starting Friday against the Mount Mercy Mustangs, with a slated serve time of 7:00 PM.

Before the match, the Wildcats honored five seniors for their accomplishments, on and off the courts. Those seniors are; Cikeng Lee, Matt Reese, Kelly Baccay, Malachi Gnade, and Drew VonFeldt, as well as team manager Nathan Myers
