Elaine Holbert Obituary
Elaine Holbert, 87 of Canton, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 9:04 AM at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
The daughter of Joseph and Mary Black Solter was born on April 20, 1938 in Macomb, Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Gene Holbert on November 9, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Lewistown, Missouri.
Elaine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, We Moderns Club and LaBelle Order of the Eastern Star #316. She enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, watching Halmark movies and keeping in touch with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Holbert of Canton, Mo.; a son, Lance Holbert of Driftwood, Tx.; grandchildren, Andrew (Brie) Scott, Ashley (Adam) Thomas, Tracy (William) Stovall, Kristofer Holbert and Grace Mitchell; great grandchildren, Dora Stovall, Blake Scott, Gabi Thomas and Jordan Thomas; two sisters, Mary Jo Mularz of Davenport, Ia. and Sue Johnson of Troy, Mo.; sister-in-law, Betty Solter of LaGrange, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Becky Scott and LaRee Campbell, a brother, Robert Solter and a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Sam Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Tony Stottlemyre officiating. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery in Lewistown, Missouri.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 4 until 7 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Association or the Donor’s Choice.
