Fire Destroys Rustic Ridge Variety Amish Store

Canton, Mo — Lewis County Fire Departments were paged for a reported structure fire at the Rustic Ridge Variety Amish Store on Highway 81, north of Canton. Among the responding departments were R-V Fire Protection District (Canton & Monticello Stations), R-4 Fire Protection District, LaGrange Fire Dept., and Western Lewis County Fire Protection District.

LaGrange Fire Chief Henry Gunsauls Jr. stated that at this time, “no word on the cause has been determined.” The structure is ruled a total loss.
