Lewis County Ambulance Board of Directors 

March 14, 2024 

John Waterman called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm on March 14, 2024, at the Lewistown Base. Those present were John Waterman, President, Sharon Scifres, Secretary, Chris Heimer, Sarah Job and Martha Bogguss, Administrator. Marsha Allison and Donnie Martin were absent. Also in attendance were Sierra Porter, Barry Matthes, Terry Tarpening, Leanne Pierce, Cassie West, and Zach O’Neal. 

One addition to the agenda under New Business -Mowing and One employee wanted to make a request. Sharon, seconded by Chris, moved to approve the agenda with the addition. Motion carried. 

John, seconded by Chris, moved to approve the minutes of February 8, 2014 as presented. Motion carried. 

Financial report: Questions on the Financial Report were ask and answered. John, seconded by Sharon, moved to accept the financial report as presented. Motion carried 

Old Business: 

1. Benefits: Having difficulty with Nuesynergy to get the employees/benefits set up. Martha will be continuing to work on this. 

2. Rates: Martha presented a chart with other districts transport rates for comparison to our rates. Several adjustments were suggested. Chris, seconded by Sarah, moved to approve the suggested changes. Motion carried. 

3. Building repair: Jerry Lund will be meeting with Martha to talk about the building repair 

in Canton. 

New Business: 

1. Work Comp renewal: Martha informed the board that Workman’s Comp will be increasing $3,375.00 this year due to the Class Code. 

2. Aladtec Renewal: Usually we renew for 1 year. This year there is an option to renew for 1, 3, 5, or 7 years. Tabled until next month. 

3. Mowing: We will put the mowing for both bases out for bids. Until then if the mowing needs to be done the person from last year will continue until the bids can be addressed. 

4. Employee request: An employee presented a request for a MOSWIN radio. He proposed if the district would buy it for him now he would pay the district back. After the board discussed the proposed request it was decided to deny the request. 

No closed session. 

Chris, seconded by Sharon, moved to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
