Lewis County Scoop Adds Knox County Eagles to Sports Coverage; Starting 2026-27 Season


Edina, MO — The Lewis County Scoop is proud to announce, on behalf of the sports department. Lewis County Scoop Sports will begin coverage of the Knox County Eagles in the 2026-2027 School Year. Adding four schools to the coverage area of sports in Northeast Missouri. The Lewis County Scoop currently covers Canton High School, Highland High School, and Culver-Stockton College, along with blanket coverage of Quincy Notre Dame with Lewis County Athletes. The Scoop also covers various youth sports and clubs. Sports Director Remington Yates discussed the decision to expand into Knox County

Knox County High School offers nine different varsity sports in the Athletic Department.

Knox County will see a change in the athletic department as Nathan Miller takes charge as Athletic Director, and he shares his thoughts on expanding coverage.

“We are excited to have the Lewis County Scoop expand its coverage to include Knox County Athletics. Our student-athletes and coaches work extremely hard, and having another outlet to highlight their accomplishments, effort, and dedication is a great opportunity for our school and community. We appreciate Lewis County Scoop’s interest in our programs and look forward to working together to showcase Knox County Eagles Athletics.”

The Knox County Eagles sports season gets underway with the Football Jamboree on Friday, August 21st, and the Softball Jamboree on the 25th.
