LEWISTOWN MO- Key notes from the most recently approved Lewistown City Council meetings held on February 2, 2026 and February 23, 2026:

Collector Rachel McKenzie reported that tax bills will be sent out again to residents who have not yet paid.

A major item of business on February 2 was bids for tearing down the shelter house. The city received twelve bids and, after review, the council voted to accept the bid from James Dosier in the amount of $3,000. You may view all bids in the pdf below. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

The council met again on February 23, 2026 for a meeting focused on two items: the pivot track filler and the shelter house project.

Troy TenEyck discussed purchasing a pivot track filler from Titan Machinery for $5,500, and the council approved the purchase.

 The mayor also reported that the shelter house has been torn down and said there will be additional discussion at the next meeting regarding the concrete.
