M. Diann Logsdon, 85 of Canton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 7:36 AM at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Quincy, Illinois on September 16, 1940 to William Joseph and Mary Ann O’Donnell Rineberg.

On May 15, 1965, she married the love of her life, Richard Lewis Logsdon at St. Francis Church in Quincy, Illinois.  Together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and resilience before Richard went to be with the Lord on December 5, 1974.

Diann dedicated 30 years of service as a secretary, first at Quincy High School, then at Highland High School in Ewing for 17 years and later at Canton High School for 13 years until her retirement.  She was known for her kindness and unwavering work ethic, but her greatest calling was caring for her family.  Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the people she cherished most.  She had a generous heart and never hesitated to help someone in need, often giving more than she was able.  She would give the shirt off her back to a stranger.

She also had a competitive spirit and was a hell of a card player.  While life dealt her more than her share of challenges, she played every hand with remarkable strength, determination and grace.  She never stopped showing up for the people she loved, never missing her kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events, and the resilience she demonstrated throughout her life became an example to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by four children, Jeff (Lisa) Logsdon of Canton, Mo. , Greg (Rachel) Logsdon of Columbia, Mo. Linda (Jason) Wallingford of Maywood and Troy (Carie) Logsdon of Canton, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Luke (Beth) Logsdon, Ben (Julie) Logsdon, Conner (Clint) Spangler, Addie (Will) Mihm, Jase Wallingford, Jakeb Wallingford, Lance (Mattison) Logsdon, Trevor Logsdon and Drew Logsdon; five great-grandchildren, Camron Logsdon, Londyn Logsdon, Layne Logsdon, Beckett Logsdon and Baker Spangler; a sister, Patti (Robert) Schmitt of Quincy, Il.; two brothers, Rick (Barb) Rineberg of Florida and Michael Rineberg of Pekin, Il.; three sister-in-laws, Jan Rineberg of O’Fallon, Il., Eileen Rineberg of Arizona and Lucille Logsdon of Kansas City; several nieces & nephews and a special friend, Jo McSorley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, father and mother in law, Ed and Mary Logsdon, great-granddaughter, Londyn Logsdon, two brothers, Dennis and William Rineberg, sister in law, Bonnie Miner, brother in laws, Kenneth Logsdon and Harold (Romona) Logsdon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Canton, Missouri with Father Boniface Nzabonimpa officiating.  Inurnment will be in Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton.
