Rita was a beloved woman whose life was rooted in faith, family, and simple joys that brought warmth to everyone around her. She deeply loved her family and cherished the time spent with them, always finding comfort and strength in her Christian faith. Reading her Bible and watching Christian-based movies were among her favorite ways to spend quiet moments, and gospel music often filled her home and heart.
Rita was well known as a wonderful cook, especially for her homemade gravy and her much-loved chicken and dumplings. She also had a fond appreciation for a good steak and enjoyed sharing meals with those she loved. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and care.
Creatively gifted, Rita enjoyed painting and drawing, expressing herself through art with the same patience and thoughtfulness she showed in life. She also loved being outdoors, finding joy in mushroom hunting and fishing at the Wyaconda State Park—places that brought her peace and happiness.
A devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, Rita proudly supported her team. She had a fondness for panda bears and collecting coins, appreciating the stories and history they carried. Though pink was not her favorite color, those who knew her often remarked that she looked especially lovely wearing it.
Rita will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her faith-filled life, and the love she freely gave to others. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
