Canton shot a team score of 344, just four strokes behind first-place Harrisburg, who posted a 340. Their strong performance earned them one of the top two advancing team spots from the district.
The four golfers moving on to state are seniors Preston Brewer, Avery Uhlmeyer, Tyler Frazier, and freshman Noah Bringer. Bringer tied for third individually with a score of 80. Brewer and Frazier each finished tied for 15th with rounds of 87, while Uhlmeyer came in 24th with a 90.

Brewer, Frazier, and Bringer were each recognized with All-District honors for their performances.
Senior Bryce Baker also competed at districts and carded a 105 to tie for 51st. While his score didn’t qualify for state, Baker’s commitment and contributions throughout his career made a lasting mark on Canton golf.
“It was real exciting,” said Canton head coach and principal Bill Dorethy. “I’ve coached in the final four, and the golf was much more nerve-racking than it was when coaching basketball.”
