Wildcats split against the Vikings in Double Header

April 14th would be a scorching hot day saw the Culver-Stockton Wildcats host the Grand View Vikings in a double header. The Wildcats came into the series 13-27 (4-12) as the Vikings come in 27-9(10-4).

Game 1

The first game would see #28 Makayla Slavik battle against Grand Views #31 Jessica Walljasper on the mound.

Wildcats struggled to start as they gave up two runs in the first inning. However they would rally back as in the 4th they would put up three runs to make it a one run lead. However in the 6th all momentum was lost as a crucial strike three attempt was called for ball to make it a full count and would begin the Viking rally as they would take game one 7-3.

Game 2

The second game would see C-SC #10 Aspyn Harrison and GVU #19 Madi Huisman go on the mound,

The game would be closely contested until the bottom of the 5th when the Wildcats put up 5 runs after a Harrison RBI and a Rosa Anquiano bases loaded grand slam to start the momentum. The Vikings would put one on the board in the following inning. However the Cats would add 3 more to the board. #13 Penny Ruiz would shut down the Vikings and the cats would take the win.
