Canton R-V March 2026 School Board Meeting
CANTON, MO- *Key notes from the most recently approved Canton R-V Board of Education meeting held on March 9, 2026:
During the superintendent’s report, Jesse Uhlmeyer noted the annual Faculty & Staff Appreciation Dinner is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026, and provided a legislative update.
In new business, the Board adopted the 3400 Choice HSA plan as the district’s base health insurance plan for 2026–27 with an employer-paid monthly premium of $801. The Board also approved paying the premium for a $25,000 life insurance policy for employees as a board-paid ancillary benefit.
The Board approved the OPAA! contract amendment for food service management for the 2026–27 school year and approved the Class of 2026 senior trip itinerary as presented.
The Board then entered executive session.
In personnel actions, the Board approved extra duty contracts for Vicky Krueger and Christy Phillips to serve as STEM Coordinators for the 2025–26 school year.
The minutes also note a motion was made to hire Kristen Palmer as a part-time daycare aide and that a roll call vote was taken, with no further board action recorded in the minutes.
The Board accepted the resignations of Jessica Frank, BreAnna Kaylor, and Dalton Armontrout.
The Board approved a contract for Katelyn Brown to serve as High School Principal for the 2026–27 school year.
The Board also voted to rehire non-tenured teachers, with the vote recorded as 6–0–1 (Schaefer abstained). The meeting then adjourned.
