Members Present: Steve Ayers, Jake Brewer, Dan Griesbaum, Jeff Janney, Robert R. Miller, Jeff O’Brien, Kim Schneider, Michael Scoggin and Randy Sharpe 

Others Present: Ralph Martin and Kathy Munzlinger 

Members Absent: Chris Huebotter 

Quorum: Yes 

Call to Order: The Regular Board Meeting of the Lewis County IDA was called to order on September 9, 2025 at 5:00pm by President Steve Ayers. 

Guests: None 

Minutes: Minutes of the previous meeting held on June 10, 2025 were presented. 

Financials: as presented including: 

1. Treasurers Report: 

June – August 2025 Transaction List Report June-August 2025 Profit & Loss Report June – August 2025 Balance Sheet 

2. Tipping Fee Report: 2nd Quarter 2025 

Motion by Robert R. Miller to accept Minutes, Treasurer’s Report and Tipping Fee Report, motion second by Jeff Janney, motion carried 9-0. 

Old Business: None 

New Business: 

1. Closed Session: None 

2. Smithsonian Voices and Votes Traveling Exhibition – Director Martin extended 

an invitation received to view this exhibit form September 14-Octobert 26. 

3. MoNe & Northwest joint meeting – Meeting was held on August 28 and consisted of 3 representatives from Branson, Maryville and Moberly. 

Representatives reported and discussed how tourism collects data from 3rd 

party tracking systems that track how tourists are spending money in their area. They track by cell phone usage and credit card purchases. The representatives reported that this information is quite valuable for the affordable price. 

4. Work Keys 7 Testing Funds – Director Martin applied early to ensure funding. This is testing for Juniors and Seniors at CHS and HHS. This project is fully funded and testing will occur at a later date. 

5. Housing Enhancement Northeast (HEN) – Derek Weber director of NEMO RPC is working to create affordable housing in Northeast MO. Derek along with Tri- County Electric and Northeast MO Power have built affordable homes on vacant property and are selling for the cost in the project. Director Martin asked that if we know if any property available to let me or Derek Weber know. This will get these properties back on the tax rolls.
