Knox County Commission Minutes* – March 16th, 2026

*Key notes from the most recently approved Knox County Commission meeting held on March 16, 2026.

The Knox County Commission met with Presiding Commissioner Leslie Cardwell and Western District Commissioner Bill Whiles present. Eastern District Commissioner John Greenley was absent. 

The commission approved the minutes from the March 13, 2026 meeting. Commissioners also approved bills and signed checks.

During the meeting, the commission completed and signed required paperwork for continued participation in the Opioid “Six Remnant Defendants” lawsuit. 

The commission also continued Match Rock sign-ups. 

Commissioner Cardwell reported that Arron Schmitz is scheduled to begin installing smoke alarms and video cameras at the County Barn on Tuesday. The meeting adjourned at 12:00 noon.
