Knox County R-1 March 2026 School Board Meeting
EDINA, MO- *Key notes from the most recently approved Knox County R-I School District Board of Education meeting held on March 17, 2026:
No citizen communications were reported.
The Board heard and accepted administrator reports, including building updates and celebrations, tentative summer school dates (May 27–June 16), SPED/Curriculum/Grants, federal and special programs, and superintendent updates on legislation and CSIP.
Under business items, the Board approved budget amendments as presented. The Board approved the OPAA food management renewal agreement for the 2026–2027 school year.
The Board accepted the mowing services quote from Rob Sullens for $18,000.00 for 2026.
The Board voted to keep the board-paid health insurance contribution at $714 per month per employee.
The Board adopted the 2026–2027 certificated salary schedule with no increase to the base salary for teachers while granting step increases for experience and education.
The Board accepted the Program and Services Evaluation Report for Business Partnerships.
The Board adopted policy and regulation updates for Policy 6180 (English Language Learners).
The regular session adjourned into closed session under 610.021 for student and personnel matters.
In the executive (closed) session, the Board approved the executive session agenda and noted there was no discussion under student matters.
Under personnel, the Board accepted the resignation of Janee Morgret (classified) effective at the end of the 2025–2026 Letter of Intent, and accepted the resignations of Heather Parrish and Ryan Dooley (certified) effective at the end of the 2025–2026 contract.
