Quincy Raceways Second Night Sees High Octane Action
Quincy, IL — The Quincy Raceways hosted its second night of races with a 58-car count on the night. The second night of races saw lots of high octane, and door to door action as local racing continues to entertain.
At the conclusion of Heat races, the IMCA Late Models Dash heat would get things going before intermission, with a quick 5-lap race won by the 54 of Tommy Elston of Keokuk, IA, sending the fans to intermission as the drivers headed back to get prepped for the feature.

IMCA Norther Sportsmod
The IMCA Northern Sportsmod Feature would see close door-to-door racing to start the evening of features, seeing Quincy’s 73x, Tanner Klingele win the race, followed by Liberty’s 2W, Reed Wolfmeyer, and Lewistown’s 79, Nathan Bringer, as both racers would battle from fifth and eighth to finish in the top three.

DirtCar Modifeds
The DirtCar Modifieds came next. With Camp Point’s Justin Reed in the B4, he would maintain the lead spot the whole race. Followed by 59R Jacob Rexing of Brighton, IL. Quincy’s 16, Shawn Deering would finish in third.

IMCA Late Models
The IMCA Late Models would follow as #22 Quincy’s Austin Bercerra would lead a majority of the race. But in lap 6, #30 Curtis Glover of Knoxville, IA, would take over the lead position and hold on for the win, followed by 7, Spencer Havermale of Quincy, and Austin Bercerra.

DirtCar 4 Cylinders
The DirtCar 4 Cylinders followed, seeing Hannibal’s 2B Dylan Bonk pick up a dominant victory. Followed by Galesburg ‘s Cris Courson in the 106, and LaGrange’s Landon Neisen in the 2, would finish third.

DirtCar Street Stocks
The DirtCar Street Stocks would see a dominant victory out of the B9R Jacob Rexing as he would pick up the win. Canton’s Brandon Boden in the 99 would battle the 0 of Jake Powers from Plainville to grab second and keep Powers in third.

Crown Victoria’s
The Crown Vics Class would close out the night with a victory for Rushville’s Jake Etter, in the 422E would pick up his second win of the season in Quincy. Lewistown, MO’s 72 Brian Kaylor would battle his way from fourth to second. Followed by Alex Hatfield of Quincy in the number 10 car.

Quincy will continue its weekly races next Sunday, May 10th, with the same six classes. Following that on Friday, May 15th, will be the Gem City Showdown Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) Late Models and Modifieds. Where they will feature the five classes: DirtCar Modifieds, DirtCar 4 Cyl, Crown Vics, B Modifieds, and the DirtCar Late Models, with MARS points up for grabs.
