Tigers fall in Last Home Game; Look for Momentum on Road


Canton, MO — The Canton Tigers held their last home game of the season, as they took on the Paris Coyotes. The Tigers are looking to gain some momentum going into districts.

The Tigers would get on the board in the bottom of the first. A Richie Polak Single and an error to follow would allow Ian Burbridge to score, who got walked onto base.

But the Coyotes would mount a heavy offense onslaught in the second with an eight-run inning to take the lead. Drew Logsdon would hit a solo homerun in the fourth to make it 8-2 in the game. Paris would mount three more runs in the 6th to extend the lead to 11-2. Canton would add two more in the 6th, but the Coyotes would hold the Tigers off from any comeback to walk out with the victory.

The Tigers fall to 4-13 as they close their home stand on the regular season. The Tigers will head on the road to close out the season. Taking on their rivals across the county in Highland on Monday, May 11, with a 5:00 PM first pitch. Followed with a makeup game on Tuesday against Clark County, before opening District play against Knox County on May 15th.
