Women’s Lacrosse Builds Momentum to Start April


Canton, MO — The Culver-Stockton Wildcats Lacrosse team picked up a pair of firsts to start their April on a strong note. The Wildcats went winless in March, losing five straight games, including their conference opener on the road at Benedictine. However, the Wildcats opened April picking up their first-ever win over the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees. The Wildcats were 0-8 against the Bees up to that point. Winning the game 18-9.

The Wildcats would follow up that victory with a shutout victory over the Mount Mercy Mustangs. Their first shutout victory in program history, as they beat the Mustangs 19-0. Only allowing four shots from the Mustangs.

The Wildcats sit third in the conference standings with a 2-1 conference record, 4-7 overall. The top six teams will make the conference tournament. The Wildcats have three games remaining on the schedule. Finishing their home stand against Ottawa University, on Wednesday, April 8th, followed by two road games against Missouri Baptist, and University Health Sciences and Pharmacy of St. Louis.
