Raiders Shutdown Cougars in Quincy

Quincy, IL — The Highland Cougars headed across the river to take on the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders. The Raiders would start LaGrange native, senior Bradi Lahr, on the mound, while the Cougars sent sophomore Baxter Ledbetter.

The Cougars would fall to the Raiders in a 12-run rout, as the Raiders held the Cougars hitless, not even allowing the Cougars to get on base.

Bradi Lahr pitched 1.1 innings and recorded 3 strikeouts before leaving the game, allowing Bordewick to finish.

Ledbetter would pitch 1.2 innings and a strikeout before being swapped for Kaden Caldwell to finish.

The Raiders would score 9 runs in the second inning, adding one in the third and 2 more in the first. Holding the Cougars off at the top of the 5th to get the mercy rule win.

The Cougars fall to 0-4 on the season. They are currently scheduled to play Knox County at home on April 2nd. That game has been postponed due to weather. The Cougars will go to Camp Point Central on April 6th. 5:00 PM first pitch.
