Cheer Able to Rally Back and Get a Win
The Culver-Stockton cheerleading squad traveled to Columbia, Missouri, for their second meet of the season, competing in the Cougar Classic. Only three teams participated, and the Wildcats struggled with their performance, finishing in third place. They registered a raw score of 111.30, averaging 55.65 points. After deductions totaling 4.50 points, their final score stood at 51.15. The University of St. Mary claimed first place with a score of 88.55, while Columbia College finished second with 57.50.

However, the Wildcats’ day was not over. They were invited to participate in a head-to-head duel against Columbia College. In this matchup, the Wildcats made significant improvements from their earlier performance and secured their first win of the season. They posted a raw score of 128.20, averaging 64.1 points. With only one point deducted, their final score was 63.1, while Columbia finished with an average of 59.60 and a final score of 58.60 after a one-point deduction.
The cheer squad will begin Conference next week as they will travel to Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas on Sunday, March 2nd.
