Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Bob Corbin called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Councilmember Robyn Cottrell present, Councilmember James Dade present, Councilmember Carol Henze present, Councilmember Gail Kindhart present, Councilmember Barry Pfister absent, and Councilmember Don Zahn present.
City Employees/Visitors: City Administrator John Roach present, City Clerk Kim Schneider present, City Attorney Jeff Curl present, City Engineer Mark Bross present, Chief of Police Aaron Johnson present and Sergeant Jason Powell present. Also present: Dave & Tiffany Blickhan.

Approval of Bills
Motion by Councilmember Henze to approve the consent agenda, motion second by
Councilmember Dade, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
CITY ENGINEER REPORT – Mark submitted a report.
Action Item: Motion by Councilmember Henze to authorize Mayor Corbin to sign contract documents including contract agreement and notice to proceed Ramsey Jones Sewer Extension, motion second by Councilmember Zahn, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
MAYOR’S REPORT – Mayor would like any questions on the potential chicken ordinance to be addressed before posting.
CITY CLERK’S REPORT – Nothing
CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT –
Proposed Bill/Ordinance #2023-665 – Motion to Post Bill/Ordinance 2023-665 – An Ordinance of The City of LaGrange, MO establishing restrictions for keeping chickens or fowl within the municipal boundaries of The City of LaGrange.
The potential Ordinance was discussed at length and many scenarios were discussed.
Motion by Councilmember Dade to have Jeff Curl draft an ordinance 12 per lot 24 max with adjoining lot, motion dies due to lack of 2nd.
More discussion was had at length.
Motion by Councilmember Cottrell to have Jeff Curl draft an ordinance 12 chickens per lot 24 max with adjoining lot and take out broiler chickens. Motion died due to lack of 2nd.
Other ideas were discussed at this time.
Motion by Councilmember Zahn to have Jeff Curl draft an ordinance 12 chickens per lot 24 max with adjoining lot, no broilers, 1 rooster per hen house and housing enclosure with roof, motion second by Councilmember Kindhart, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
John received notification that we received a $500,000 grant for lead and cooper line
inventory.

Adjournment: With nothing further before the Council, Councilmember Cottrell made the motion to adjourn at 6:52 p.m., motion second by Councilmember Zahn, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
