Fishing For Freedom Set To Give Away SeaArk Boat Package May 31
QUINCY, Ill. — Fishing For Freedom is bringing its annual weekend event back to Quincy May 29-31, and this year’s boat giveaway is expected to draw plenty of attention.
The giveaway is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, at Kesler Park in Quincy, where a SeaArk boat package will be given away as part of the Fishing For Freedom weekend. The package promoted for the event includes a SeaArk boat, Marine Master trailer and Suzuki outboard.

Any warrior or boater is eligible to win this boat this year. Farm & Home Supply announced they will be supplying the boat with the life jackets, anchor, anchor & rope.
Fishing For Freedom — Quincy is built around a simple mission to give veterans and active-duty military personnel a weekend outdoors with people who appreciate the service & sacrifices they have made for the United States of America.
The no-entry-fee fishing event pairs “Warriors,” the organization’s term for veterans and active-duty service members, with volunteer boaters for bass, catfish and crappie fishing on area waters.
They currently have 263 Warriors registered to fish and 179 Boaters. President Nathan Moore said they currently need more boaters to take our Warriors out for a day of fishing.
The three-day event includes more than just fishing. The weekend is centered on fellowship, outdoor recreation, a meet-and-greet, activities connected to the Illinois Veterans Home, a Heroes Banquet, raffles, auctions and a day of tournament fishing on the Mississippi River or Mark Twain Lake.

Boaters and Warriors who fish are automatically entered into the drawing based on their registration timestamp. Participants must be present to win, and the winner is responsible for tax, title, license, transportation or delivery.
For the organization, the boat is more than a prize. It is part of a larger weekend built around giving something back to the men and women who served. Organizers describe the event as a way to offer camaraderie, Midwestern hospitality and a simple thank-you to America’s veterans and active-duty personnel.

Volunteer boaters remain a major part of making the event possible. Fishing For Freedom says the number of Warriors who can participate depends on the number of boats available, with a goal of at least 200 volunteer boaters for the event.
If you have a boat and are able to take one of our Warriors out for a day of fishing, your time and generosity could help give a veteran or active-duty service member a weekend they will not forget plus you will be entered to win the boat.
The drawing will take place Sunday afternoon May 31st approximately 3:30 – 4:00, and must be present to win.
