MONTICELLO, MO- *Key notes from the most recently approved Lewis County Commission meeting held on April 6, 2026

Road & Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough reported ongoing road maintenance work, along with several specific maintenance items that were discussed in the meeting.

 The report also noted a bridge on Road 228 had been hit the prior Monday, breaking out a corner, and that repairs would include cutting exposed rebar and sealing the end to help keep moisture out. 

A cemetery rock advertisement was placed in the paper.

In other business, Clerk Shannon Sapp submitted the March clerk fee report, March election fee report, March budget report, and March court order report, along with a January–March assessment quarterly report for Commissioner Murphy to sign. 

Deputy Sly submitted a leave balance report. 

The minutes also note Douglas Homrighausen provided papers to Commissioner Redmon regarding a question about getting fiber from Mark Twain.
