Lewis County Commission June 29th, 2026

June 29, 2026 

The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on June 22, 2026, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., and Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer and Craig Redmon present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order: 

Minutes: Commissioner Fleer made a motion to approve minutes for June 22, 2026. Commissioner Redmon seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Murphy motioned to approve the payment of warrants #203869 from General fund, warrants #203859-203865 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #203878 from Assessment fund, and warrant # from LEOF. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Murphy motioned to approve the payment by EFTP of warrants #5015- 5032 from General fund, warrants #4994-4996 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #5036-5037 from Assessment fund, and warrant #5038-5055 from LEOF fund. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Bills: Commissioner Fleer motioned to approve the payments of warrants #33572-33582 from General Revenue, warrants #23120-23133 from Road & Bridge, warrants #6114-6120 from Assessment, warrants #21737-21745 from L.E.O.F and warrants # from Co Farm. Commissioner Redmon seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough were present. 

Bladed and fixed roads 

Hauling spot rock and some county rock 

Fixed tubes on 362, 214, and 332 

Groomed roads to help blading 

Cleaning out brush from tubes 

FEMA/SEMA came last Wednesday to discuss the June 10th flooding and proclaiming a disaster- Supervisor Frese and Commissioner Fleer went with FEMA representatives to check damages 

July 22nd Lewis County will host an L-Tap grading class 

The commission donated 50-ton of rock to the fairgrounds again this year 

The commission discussed working with LaBelle Dairy to fix road #224 

Other Business: The commission received the mold report from Patsy with Fungus A Mungus 

for the annex- she emphasized the importance of solving the crawlspace moisture issue- the mold levels were all elevated and did not pass 

Clerk Sapp submitted the leave balance report 

The commission called Shannon Howe about the crawlspace issue- they left a message 

Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, July 6, 2026, by Commissioner Murphy. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed, Approved 3-0.
