Bringing Cougar Football Home: The Lewis County Scoop Announces 2025 Broadcasts

The Lewis County Scoop will broadcast all Highland High School Cougar football games during the 2025 season, expanding its local sports coverage.

Games — both home and away — are scheduled to be streamed live in a radio-style format on Facebook and YouTube, with Remington Yates serving as the play-by-play announcer. Weather conditions and internet availability at some road locations may impact the ability to broadcast certain away games.

Yates, a Highland graduate, brings extensive experience, having called games for Culver-Stockton College from 2019 to 2023 as a student and continuing in that role as an alumnus. He began The Lewis County Scoop’s broadcasting program in early 2025, covering Canton and Highland basketball during local tournaments.

The broadcasts will feature not only play-by-play but also pregame shows, halftime analysis, and, when possible, postgame interviews with coaches and players. Color commentary will be provided by a variety of voices throughout the season.

This initiative aims to connect the Highland community with Cougar football, providing families and fans who cannot attend games the opportunity to experience the action live.
