Canton Places 7th in Class 1 State Golf


New Bloomfield, MO – The Canton Tigers capped off their golf season with a strong showing at the Class 1 State Golf Tournament, finishing 7th overall with a two-day team score of 737. The tournament was held May 19-20 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.

The Tigers shot 370 on Day One and improved slightly with a 367 on Day Two, earning a well-deserved spot in the Top 10.

Senior Tyler Frazier led the way for Canton, tying for 23rd place overall. Frazier opened with a 90 and followed it up with an 82 to finish with a total of 172.

Freshman Noah Bringer tied for 56th, scoring an 86 on Day One and a 96 on Day Two for a final of 182.

Senior Preston Brewer placed 64th, carding a 94 followed by a 92, totaling 186.

Senior Avery Uhlmeyer rounded out the scoring with a 100 on Day One and a 97 on Day Two, finishing in 81st place with 197.

Congratulations to the Canton Tigers on a successful season and a Top 10 finish at State. A special salute to seniors Tyler Frazier, Preston Brewer, and Avery Uhlmeyer for closing out their high school careers with a trip to the state stage.
