Wildcats Compete at NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Nationals
Marion, IN – The Culver-Stockton Wildcats competed against the nation’s best at the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University. Several athletes represented C-SC in both multi-event competitions and individual races. Below is a breakdown of their performances at the meet:
DREW MALLETT
Junior – LaGrange, Missouri | Decathlon

Mallett competed in the Decathlon, a grueling two-day, ten-event competition testing speed, strength, and endurance.
Day 1 Results:
- 100 Meter Dash – 4th place, 10.98 seconds
- Long Jump – 6.24 meters
- Shot Put – 11th place, 11.17 meters
- High Jump – 16th place, 1.72 meters
- 400 Meter Dash – 5th place, 52.01 seconds
Day 2 Results (in progress):
- 110 Meter Hurdles – 8th place, 15.87 seconds
- Discus Throw – 12th place, 32.39 meters
- Javelin Throw – 4th place, 47.92 meters
- 1500 Meter Race – 13th, 5:27.75
Overall Finish:
13th place overall in the Decathlon – a total of 6016 points
DELANEY STRAUS
Junior – Philadelphia, Missouri | Heptathlon

Straus delivered a strong all-around performance in the Heptathlon, finishing top 10 nationally out of 14 competitors.
Day 1 Results:
- 100 Meter Hurdles – 14th place, 15.66 seconds
- High Jump – 14th place, 1.44 meters
- Shot Put – 8th place, 10.01 meters
- 200 Meter Dash – 14th place, 26.78 seconds
Day 2 Results:
- Long Jump – 8th place, 5.23 meters
- Javelin Throw – 1st place, 37.56 meters
- 800 Meter Run – 1st place, 2:21.87
Overall Finish:
7th place overall in the Heptathlon – a top 10 national finish. Along with this finish Delaney is now a two time All-American in the Heptathlon.
FAITH YOUNCE
Senior – Bonney Lake, Washington | Women’s 5000 Meter Race Walk

The senior from Bonney Lake, Washington competed in the women’s 5000 meter race walk and finished 12th overall with a time of 29:05.268. Her fastest lap came in at 58.163 seconds.
KENNY TUCKER
Senior – Carrizo Springs, Texas | Men’s 5000 Meter Race Walk
The senior from Carrizo Springs, Texas competed in the men’s 5000 meter race walk and placed 16th overall with a time of 26:33.175. His best lap time was 51.401 seconds.
