February 23rd, 2026 – Lewis County Commission

*Key notes from the most recently approved Lewis County Commission meeting on February 23, 2026:

Road & Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough reported crews had been grading and grooming multiple county roads, filling potholes with rock, cleaning out ditches, and doing additional blading and rock work in the Lake of the Oaks area. 

The commission noted that Orange Street Bridge funds were received.

It was also noted that Public paid rock for Schlager. 

Brett with Altorfer was present to check in and see if the commission or Road & Bridge needed anything. 

The bridge inspector has completed inspections and finished Thursday.

In other business, commissioners noted they will be attending their CCAM conference Wednesday through Friday of this week. 

The commission also worked on the meal for the upcoming commissioner/clerk meeting and discussed Road & Bridge salary line items with Clerk Shannon Sapp.
