February 2nd, 2026 – Lewis County Commission

February 2, 2026 

Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on January 26, 2026, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer, and Craig Redmon present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order: 

Minutes: Commissioner Murphy made a motion to approve minutes for January 26, 2026. Commissioner Redmon seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Fleer made a motion to approve timecards from January 18th-31st, Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Bills: Commissioner Fleer motioned to approve the payments of warrants #33267-33283 from General Revenue, warrants #22938-22942 from Road & Bridge, warrants #6055-6057 from Assessment, warrants #21586-21588 from L.E.O.F and warrants #1219 from Co Farm. Commissioner Redmon seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough were present. 

Immediate closure bridge on #526 per the MODot bridge inspector 

Finished plowing and pushing off snow drifts 

Worked on the 2008 Chevy plow truck- front end part of the cv axel 

Bridge inspector got 7 bridges inspected 

Looking into getting a broom and mower for the skid steer 

The commission asked Supervisor Frese what he planned on purchasing this year- Supervisor Frese said he wants to get a new truck and plow 

Other Business: Ralph Martin with IDA met with the commission to discuss joining a multi- mobile tac group to projects needing done-gave the commission a 2024 NEMO RPC Multimodal Needs List- discussed bonding no fund raising-you have your own revenue source- can underwrite to an exempt entity until the bond is paid off 

Sheriff Parrish gave the courthouse a LifePAK CR2 Defibrillator to be put in the courthouse- he also purchased 1 for each patrol car and the sheriff’s office 

Discussed the commissioner/ clerk meeting for April 21st and decided to use the Flower fund for all revenue and payments- keeping a record for everything 

Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, February 9, 2026, by Commissioner Redmon, Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed, Approved 3-0.
