MONTICELLO, Mo- *Key notes from the Lewis County Commission meeting held on June 1, 2026.

The commission approved payroll (including payroll by EFTP) and approved payment of bills from county funds.

Commissioner Murphy signed a reimbursement request connected to Orange Street Bridge invoices, including Invoice #29 listed at $10,387.98 and a total due payable to Howe Company listed at $12,184.89.

Clerk Sapp and Deputy Sly attended the Spring Election conference May 27–29.

Clerk Sapp submitted the May clerk fee report, May budget report, May election fee report, and May court order report.

Deputy Sly submitted the leave balance report, and Recorder Parrish submitted her May report.

Shannon Howe with Howe Company met with the commission, took measurements of the annex building, and discussed a remodel plan.

Prosecutor Fellinger met with the commission to discuss a new bill related to prosecuting attorney salary and said she will write a memo explaining her understanding.

The record also states Prosecutor Fellinger was signed in as temporary prosecuting attorney by Judge Wilson for Knox County.

Sheriff Parrish brought forward a bill for $18,400 for cell door repair and stated an ARPA grant will reimburse half.

The meeting adjourned to Monday, June 8, 2026.
