June 24th 2024 – Lewis County Commission

June 24, 2024 

The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on June 17, 2024, with Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer, and Deanne Whiston present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Whiston called the meeting to order: 

Minutes: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve minutes for June 17, 2024. Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 2-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve timecards from June 9th- 24th, Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 2-0. 

Bills: Commissioner Whiston motioned to approve the payments of warrants #32044-32064 from General Revenue, warrants #22250-22256 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5784-5788 from the Assessment, warrants #20989-20996 from L.E.O.F, and warrants #from Co Farm. Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 2-0. 

Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Larry Janes and Secretary Colclough were present. 

Hauled county rock 

Bladed- #439, 308, 304, 419, 418, 416, 403, 404, 402, 390, 412 

Roy mowed- #305 & 514 

Hauled spot rock to #264 for dust control 

Altorfer fixed the 2007 CAT graders A/C and moldboard 

Going to put the 1997 CAT grader on Purple Wave 

1993 Dump truck at Quincy Mack getting A/C fixed 

Other Business 

The B.O.E. ad was approved and sent to the paper 

Treasurer Roberson and Clerk Sapp were in to discuss the documentation for the reimbursement to General Revenue for the overpayment from public agency payments 

The commission called Frank Aquino with Gallagher to ask about an employee’s deductible- Frank will look at the BOE and talk to the insurance company then get back to Clerk Sapp with answers 

Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, July 1, 2024, by Commissioner Whiston, Commissioner Fleer agreed, passed 2-0.
