Lewis County Commission – June 15th, 2026
MONTICELLO, Mo. — *Key notes from the Lewis County Commission meeting held on June 15, 2026.
The Lewis County Commission met with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Southern Commissioner Travis Fleer, and Northern Commissioner Craig Redmon present. The commission approved the minutes from the June 8, 2026 meeting.
The commission approved payroll, including payment by EFTP, and approved bills for payment from county funds.
Road & Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough were present.
Road & Bridge reported fixing washouts, mowing, hauling spot rock and county rock, and placing another board on the little bridge on Sunflower Street, County Road 552.
The department also reported that Ewing is almost out of 1 1/4-inch rock and will have to start hauling out of Taylor.
Commissioners Fleer and Murphy checked County Road 575, and Commissioner Redmon checked County Road 212.
In other business, Clerk Sapp submitted the May sales tax report, and Deputy Sly submitted the leave balance report.
Treasurer Roberson wrote two public entity checks from Fund #111 Law Enforcement Restitution, including $2,035.03 for med bags and $2,478.00 for Tahoe grille guards.
Ralph Martin with IDA dropped off the March meeting minutes. The minutes also state Patsy with Fungus A Mungus was scheduled to be at the annex on Tuesday, June 16, at 1 p.m. to test for mold.
The county received a City of Laurel vs. Cintas settlement check for $251.54. The money will be placed into General Revenue miscellaneous account #101-000-430140.
The meeting adjourned to Monday, June 22, 2026.
