Lewis County Commission – June 8th, 2026

MONTICELLO, Mo-  *Key notes from the Lewis County Commission meeting held on June 8, 2026.

 Howe Company sent the PDF of the RFQ prepared for contractors and plan rooms.

The commission also filled out the Related Party Questionnaire for the financial audit.

Clerk Sapp reported contacting Griffin with Servpro regarding the annex. According to the minutes, Patsy with Fungus Among Us wants to do a pre-test for mold numbers, Servpro would clean the courtroom, and then a post-test would be completed. Clerk Sapp had contacted Patsy and was waiting for a reply.

Treasurer Roberson submitted May bank reconciliation reports and May fund balances. 

Commissioner Murphy called Angela Smith with Bleigh and told her she needed to confirm or deny whether their project was in a floodplain.

Eric Kratzberg and Dillon Borunda with McBride, Lock & Associates met with the commission and Clerk Sapp for the 2025 financial audit entrance meeting. The minutes state they asked a few questions and said they would complete around two weeks of field work, finish any remaining items by email, provide findings to office holders, receive responses, and then hold the exit meeting.

John McCarty with Arch Brokerage met with the commission to discuss how Healthspan helps the county keep claims down and reviewed what the first five months looked like. The minutes state the county should get a better program next year if the current track continues with insurance claims. McCarty is looking toward revenue shares and will begin looking at rates in September, with full data from Angle expected in October.

The meeting adjourned to Monday, June 15, 2026.
