Lewis County Scoop Sports Basketball Broadcast Schedule

The Lewis County Scoop strives to bring local sporting events to the community. Sports Director Remington Yates is releasing this seasons Basketball Broadcast schedule for the Canton Tigers and Highland Cougars.

All events will be broadcasted live over the Lewis County Scoop Facebook and Youtube. However, internet and weather can play an effect on to our broadcast. Remington Yates will be on the call with various color commentators to add their insight and thoughts into the game.

January 13th, Lewis County Showdown; Canton VS. Highland

The Lewis County Showdown takes place at Highland Gym this year. Last year the Highland Lady Cougars beat the Canton Lady Tigers 57-48. While the Canton Tigers beat the Cougars 67-43.

83rd Annual Tony Lenzini Tournament (January; 19-24)

The Highland Cougars and Canton Tigers compete in the prestigous tournament hosted at Palmyra High School. A new gym for the Panthers brings some excitement for the tournament. And for the Lady Cougars it is an opportunity to defend their crown. Last year the Lady Cougars would win the Girls bracket over the Hannibal Lady Pirates 55-38.

While the Canton Tigers would beat the Van-Far Indians to claim third place in the tournament. The Canton Lady Tigers claimed the consolation championship with a victory over Brookfield.
