3/23/2026 – *Key notes from the most recently approved Lewis County Commission meeting on March 2, 2026:

The commission met with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Southern Commissioner Travis Fleer, and Northern Commissioner Craig Redmon present. They approved the minutes from the February 23, 2026 meeting, approved timecards for February 15–28, and approved routine bills for payment from county funds.

Road & Bridge Supervisor Drew Frese and Secretary Colclough reported that crews had been grading and grooming county roads, hauling spot rock to problem areas, and installing a driveway culvert. They also reported that new maps were created showing road numbers with special road districts overlaid.

In other business, Clerk Shannon Sapp submitted the February court order report, February budget report, and February clerk fees report. 

Commissioners noted they attended the CCAM conference February 25–27. Commissioner Fleer contacted Full-Service Roofing about remaining courthouse work and was told they expect to be on site next week depending on weather. 

The sheriff’s office rehired Dillon Sparrow at $19.76 per hour.

The commission also contacted Ivan Schrader with questions.
