MONTICELLO, MO- *Key notes from the most recently approved Lewis County Commission meeting held on March 30, 2026

Equipment updates included a header replacement on the 2017 grader. T

The minutes also note a sign was placed in the courthouse parking lot stating not to park past a certain point. 

Road & Bridge provided a quote from Joe Machens Ford Lincoln for a 2026 Ford F350 regular cab and chassis. 

The commission also stated they should go ahead and order a new 2027 Cat grader since it is in the budget and will not be ready until spring of 2027. 

The minutes note the 2005 Ford used for the groomer needs fuel injectors and a transmission.

Supervisor Frese also provided an update on the Orange Street Bridge. 

Chris Feeney with NEMO RPC met with the commission to discuss bridges and grant options.

In other business, the minutes note McBride, Lock, and Associates, LLC will be conducting the county’s financial audit for the year ending December 31, 2025. 

The commission and clerk worked on the agenda for the upcoming commissioner/clerk meeting.

Circuit Clerk George discussed 4 quotes she received for cleaning and digitizing records. After reviewing options, the commission approved accepting IMS Technology Group’s quote to digitize the old records at the annex, and Circuit Clerk George will contact IMS and obtain a contract for the commission to sign.
