R-4 Fire Protection District Meeting Minutes 
March 5th, 2024 Meeting #250 

Station #2, Maywood, MO 7pm

1. Preliminaries to Meeting 

1. Call the Meeting to Order. 

i. David Keith called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. 

2. Roll Call- Quorum Established 

i. Present is Dylan Waterman, David and Gretchen Keith, Riley Pryor and Bryan Jennings; Quorum Established. Tom Stark is absent due to health reasons. 3. Motion to approve the agenda by Bryan Jennings and seconded by David Keith. 

2. Consent Agenda 

1. Approval of minutes to be made by Bryan Jennings and seconded by David Keith.. 2. Approval of treasurer’s report given by Gretchen Keith; Motion made by Bryan Jennings and seconded by David Keith. 

3. Old Business 

1. Truck Maintenance: Hose Testing was done on March 1st. Wiring needs to be fixed on truck 417. Hooks and Latches to come on Monday for Bobcat trailer. Truck 413 anti-freeze reservoir had to be replaced. 

2. Brush Truck Bids- Jeff McReynolds from Banner Fire Equipment came to speak about details on brush truck bids. Quotes will come from Uplift Ranch and Banner will help build truck. 

4. New Business 

1. Building Maintenance- Station #2 lights on the back side need to be replaced. Dylan would like to put a commercial sink in at Station #2, he would also like to get a stainless steel top for the island for serving food. Board approved to allow fixes. 

2. Mowing Bids- to be advertised for 2024 season. Deadline will be March 29th. Bids to be read on April 2nd. 

5. Officers Report

a. Dylan Waterman reported 150 approval. Big Truck Night will be May 7th from 5-7pm at Highland High School. Available trucks are 417, 416, 411, 412, 410. Dylan got a call to reinstate that all volunteers know how to check vitals. For direct billing for traffic accidents when going to a call make sure to include all details and list of what was done. 

b. Riley Pryor reported quotes for lights. Riley was given permission to purchase one. Riley put in for a grant from MFA and to Enbridge. 

6. Questions/Concerns/Comments- Terry Faulconer asked if the firemen’s association still has an accidental death insurance policy. 

7. Closed session Per statue 610.021 Section 3- none 

8. Regular Monthly meeting to be held on April 2nd, 2024 at 7pm at Station #1, Ewing, MO 9. Adjournment- motion to adjourn the meeting by David Keith, seconded Bryan Jennings. Meeting Adjourned.
