R4 Fire – February 2025 Meeting Minutes
*Key notes from the most recently approved R-4 Fire Protection District board meeting held on February 3, 2026.
The board met at Station #1 in Ewing at 7:00 p.m. with President Tom Stark calling the meeting to order.
After discussion about current interest rates, the board approved moving $30,000 from the regular checking account into a certificate of deposit, with Gretchen Keith going to the bank to set up the CD.
Under old business, the board reported that the Maywood trucks have been serviced, Truck 418’s U-joint has been fixed, Truck 411’s primer was fixed by Banner, and hose testing is scheduled for March 11 by Fire Cat. On building maintenance, new hose reels have been ordered, and the back light at Station #1 is not working.
During officer reports, Dylan announced upcoming training and events, including training and radio etiquette training on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m., Search and Rescue training at Deer Ridge on May 2 at 12:00 p.m., and the Maywood Soup Supper on February 28.
There was no closed session. The next regular monthly meeting was scheduled for March 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Station #2 in Maywood.
