September 2, 2025
Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on August 25, 2025, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer, and Craig Redmon present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order:
Minutes: Commissioner Fleer made a motion to approve minutes for August 25, 2025. Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0.
Payroll: Commissioner Murphy made a motion to approve timecards from August 17th-30th, Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0.
Bills: Commissioner Murphy motioned to approve the payments of warrants #32960-32976 from General Revenue, warrants #22759-22763 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5979-5982 from Assessment, warrants #21432-21434 from L.E.O.F, and warrants #1208-1209 from Co Farm. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Redmon agreed. Approved 3-0.
Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Secretary Colclough was present.
Drew Freese was in to talk to the commission about taking on the roll of supervisor- Drew asked for $25 an hour but said he knows he has a lot to learn- there was no backlash or negative feedback when he said he would like to be supervisor- the crew agreed to help Drew learn- he has upper management skills and can run equipment- he will have to learn how to lay tubes, build bridges and all the other things he doesn’t know yet- this is a working supervisor role- the commission will back him up if he needs anything- need communication and road numbers and names when reporting what was done weekly- need to learn the county lines and not cross them- sidewalks will need done in the winter- and pick up things for the janitor when able

Secretary Colclough is calling US Cellular to cancel the cameras
Doug Martin changed the door codes at the Road and bridge office
Other Business: Jt Gray with Full-Service Roofing was in to have the commission chose the shingle color- they chose timber wood- they discussed dumpster placement- generator placement and use- contact information- also it will be done this fall but was not able to give a specific time- Commissioner Murphy signed the contract and a check was cut for 1⁄2 of the total $32,560.00
Sheriff Parrish showed Commissioner Murphy the Blue Sheild grant paperwork and asked for his blessing to submit it
Deputy Eisenberg discussed with the commission about applying for a grant to purchase flock
cameras
Sheriff Parrish asked the commission if the county could purchase 1 vehicle at $67,000 from Don Brown, the commission agreed and said it would be purchased with money from LEOF transfer (as needed) 101-185-750411
Clerk Sapp submitted August’s budget report
Recorder Parrish submitted her August report
