The Tony Lenzini Finals Have Begun


The Finals for the Tony Lenzini Tournament have begun as all four Lewis County Teams compete for a title in the tournament. The night would open with the Canton Lady Tigers playing the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs for the girls consolation title. Afterwards the Highland Cougars would batte the Clark County Indians for the boys consolation title. To end the night the Palmyra Lady Panthers would battle the Monroe City Lady Panthers for the girls third place.

Canton Lady Tigers vs Brookfield Lady Bulldogs

The Canton Lady Tigers garner up some momentum to head out of the tournament. As they take the Consolation Title in the Girls bracket. They would defeat the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs 51-24.

The Tigers would be lead by  Kenna OIiver with 13 points on the night. Uhlmeyer would get 9. While not playing a lot of time due to the large lead.

Highland Cougars vs Clark County Indians

The Highland Cougars despite having a very good tournament performance. Would fall to the Clark County Indians 44-35. Overall Highland played a really good game. However fourth quarter fouls would catch up and help in the change in score.

Post would lead the offence for Highland with 12 points. Followed by Hinton with 9. The Indians would be lead by Hunziker with 16. Klein would follow with 13. The Cougars will look to move on and finish off conference strong as they have a healthy roster and performed well in this tournament.

Palmyra Lady Panthers vs Monroe City Panthers

To end the night the Monroe City Panthers would beat the Palmyra Panthers for third place, 52-50 was the final. Palmyra would battle the whole game however could not find a way to beat out Monroe City.

Hays would lead the offence as she ends the night with 20 points. Followed by Youngblood with 10. Compton would lead Palmyra with 20 points followed by Williams with 10.
