Canton Tigers vs Van-Far Indians: Boys Third Place
The Canton Tigers would beat the Indians 65-60 as they walk away with the hardware. The first quarter would be mostly Indians as they held a lead. Until Preston Brewer would put up twelve points in the first to make it 17-14. However Van-Far would tie the game as at Half-Time the game sat 30-30. But Coach Armontrout and the Tigers would put them away and hold on to the lead as they walk out with the hardware.

Preston Brewer would end the night with 29 points. Oliver was the next closest with 10. For Van-Far, the offence was lead by Pacey Reading with 24 ideas. Carson Huff would follow with 20.

After the game Armontrout joined us on the broadcast and answered some questions. He stated “We wanted to be playing for the championship which didn’t happen. But I thought the boys played better but didn’t have the greatest start in the world. We battled back and I thought we did a lot of good.” Armontrout credited a good performance from the bench as multiple players got points from the bench.
Highland Lady Cougars vs Hannibal Lady Pirates

For the First time since 2012 the Highland Lady Cougars are your Tony Lenzini Champions! The Cougars would beat the Pirates 55-38. Abell would keep the ball moving around most of the game as she would lead the offense with 26 points. A career high. But she would be passing the ball around and getting it moving for the whole team. Kierra Rothweiler would follow with 12 points. Stolte for the the Pirates would be the leader with 19 points.

After the game we had to settle with an interview with assistant coach Jason Vaughn as Ashton Jaco was being mobbed by the press. He discussed how this was the first time Hannibal didn’t use the press the whole match. And he would discuss that Abell was so big in not just the scoring but being a team player and the rest of the team making it a team effort as they head through conference and on the way to districts.

Palmyra Panthers vs Monroe City Panthers
To close the night the Palmyra Panthers fall to the Monroe City Panthers. As Monroe would claim the Tony Lenzini Tournament for the first time since 2022. Beating Palmyra 62-50. Quincy Mayfield would lead the team with 20. While Mason Smith lead Palmyra with 15.
