Two Walk In, Two Walk Out All-Americans; Culver-Stockton Athletes Compete at Nationals


Ashville, NC — In the NAIA Outdoor National Championship, two Culver-Stockton Athletes competed at the national meet, and two Culver-Stockton athletes walked out with All-American Honors.

Graduate Logan Lucas of Monroe City competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Despite the weather delays, Lucas would qualify on day two in the prelims, finishing in 14th place with a time of 9:24.25. On day three (Friday), Logan Lucas would better that time, taking 8th place in the final 800m and finishing with a time of 9:18.81 and becoming an All-American, and the First Male All-American in the Culver-Stockton College Track Program History.

True freshman Erin Peppler of Greenville, Ill would compete in the 5000m race walk. After also enduring delays due to the weather. Peppler would put in a time of 27:41.37 for a new personal best and a New School Record. Peppler would finish in seventh place and garner All-American honors. Becoming the second female track athlete to earn All-American Honors.
