Canton Lady Tigers Capture District Title
The Canton Lady Tigers joined their boys’ team in claiming a district championship, securing the Class 2 District 6 title with a 61-35 victory over the Milan Lady Cats. With the win, the Lady Tigers advance to the sectional round, where they will face the Clopton Lady Eagles, the Class 2 District 5 champions, on Tuesday, March 4.
The Lady Tigers were led by Kenna Oliver with 18 points, while Macy Glasgow added 16 as Canton maintained steady offensive pressure. Canton entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed after a tie with Milan forced a coin toss to determine seeding.
Milan was led by Mya Pauley with 13 points, while Amy Pickering contributed 12. The Lady Cats end their season with a 20-7 record and will look to build on their success next year.

The Lady Tigers improve to 18-10 as they continue their postseason run. Clopton enters the matchup with a 23-3 record and is currently ranked third in the state.
