City of LaGrange, MO Council Meeting Minutes for July 22, 2024
Mayor Bob Corbin led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Bob Corbin called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Councilmember Robyn Cottrell present, Councilmember James Dade present, Councilmember Carol Henze present, Councilmember Gail Kindhart present, Councilmember Barry Pfister absent, and Councilmember Don Zahn present.
City Employees/Visitors: City Administrator John Roach present, City Clerk Kim Schneider present, City Attorney Jeff Curl Present, City Engineer Mark Bross present, Chief of Police Aaron Johnson present.

Treasurer’s Report –
Motion by Councilmember Henze to approve the consent agenda, motion second by Councilmember Dade, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
CITY ENGINEER REPORT – Report attached.
MAYOR’S REPORT –
Civil War Reenactment – Bob handed out a flyer regarding the Civil War Reenactment September 14-15 – with school day on September 13, 2024.
CITY CLERK’S REPORT – Nothing
CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT :
Storm Clean-Up – John reported that storm clean-up is complete.
Cemetery Restoration – John has contacted Russ Gardner and Russ plans to be in town to
work early fall, John emailed an updated contract and has not heard back yet.
Lead Line Service Inventory – John reported that the company doing the Lead Line Work – Schulte Supply is in the process of mailing a letter to each household and providing a link for our website regarding this project for citizens.
John shared the invitation from Nationwide Transport about their open house on 7/23/24. Encouraged everyone to attend.
OLD/UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS:
Mayor Corbin was approached about the possibility of placing a shed or two sheds on a property and living in them? Everyone agreed to have Jeff and John draft a potential ordinance regarding tiny homes/shipping containers/sheds as houses.
Councilmember Zahn made the motion to allow Mayor Corbin and City Clerk Kim Schneider to sign a corrected Quit-Claim Deed from 2008 – this deed incorrectly stated W&S instead of W&L, motion second by Councilmember Kindhart, motion carried 5 yes, 1 absent.
