July 29, 2024
The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on July 22, 2024, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., and Associate Commissioners Deanne Whiston were present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order:
Minutes: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve minutes for July 22, 2024. Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 3-0.
Payroll: Commissioner Whiston motioned to approve the payment of warrants #203408-203409 from General fund, warrants #203410-203416 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #203417 from Assessment fund, and warrant # from LEOF. Commissioner Murphy agreed. Passed 2-0.
Payroll: Commissioner Whiston motioned to approve the payment by EFTP of warrants #3011- 3029 from General fund, warrants #3030-3032 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #3033-3034 from Assessment fund, and warrant #3035-3051 from LEOF fund. Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 2-0.
Bills: Commissioner Whiston motioned to approve the payments of warrants #32119-32130 from General Revenue, warrants #22295-22302 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5804-5808 from the Assessment, warrants #21027-21032 from L.E.O.F, and warrants #from Co Farm. Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 2-0.
Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Larry Janes and Secretary Colclough were present.
Commissioner Murphy signed the conservation cart rock contract for 2025
Hauled county rock
Bladed- #382, 391, 393, 341, 326, 367, 388, 373, 387, 390, 340
Fixed the mower boom- another pin came out
Mowed- #490, 464, 487
Supervisor Janes is training Sean on running the grader
Serviced the 2005 and 1993 Mac’s- oil, fuel and air filters replaced
Sprayed bridges
Cleaned school road #524 right of way
Going to put the collector’s drop box at the road and bridge office driveway in the ground and quikrete in to steady it
Putting a water tank and 1997 Cat grader on Purple wave- he will be here at 10:30 to take pictures
Ivan Schraeder is working on the Road and bridge/ employee agreement for putting an employee through the CDL program
Other Business: Circuit Clerk George was in to discuss the new bench for the alternate courtroom- the Missouri Vocational Enterprises gave her a quote of $5997 in April and are now taking orders again. Commissioner Whiston made a motion to purchase the bench from MVE for the alternate courtroom. Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 2-0.
She is also having the chairs in the courtroom refurbished
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, August 5, 2024, by Commissioner Whiston. Commissioner Murphy agreed, passed 2-0.
