June 10, 2024
The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on June 3, 2024, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer, and Deanne Whiston present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order:
Minutes: Commissioner Fleer made a motion to approve minutes for June 3, 2024. Commissioner Whiston seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Payroll: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve timecards from May 26th June 8th, Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Bills: Commissioner Whiston motioned to approve the payments of warrants #32014-32033 from General Revenue, warrants #22234-22241 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5780-5781 from the Assessment, warrants #20978-20984 from L.E.O.F, and warrants # from Co Farm. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Larry Janes and Secretary Colclough were present.
Bladed: 395, 388, 374, 383, 369, 343, 435, 403, 550, 439, 482, 441, 453
Continued to haul county rock
Fixed #402 with the grader and spot rocked
Cleaned and mopped the breakroom at the road and bridge shed
The mower was down since Roy was out
Other Business:
Commissioner Fleer made a motion to have an off-cycle check wrote to pay $4000.00 out of Repair & upkeep line item #101-040-655000 to T&D Lawn & Landscaping from the estimated bill until an actual bill is made available. Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Whiston agreed.
Treasurer Roberson wrote jury checks- #1199-1251
Treasurer Roberson wrote Public Agency checks- #3652-3666
Collector Lay was in to discuss getting a drop box for payment- the commission would like her to get the cost and where she would like it located
Commissioner Whiston made a motion to appoint Craig Redmon to the NECAC board. Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 3-0.
Chris Feeney- NEMO RPC, Kevin James- MoDot, Tina Lee- MoDot, Trooper Schieferdecker, Sheriff Parrish met to discuss no traffic deaths in Lewis County in 2023- The commission and Sheriff Parrish were presented an award and a letter from the Director Patrick McKenna
Brad Trent the construction supervisor and Trent Young a delivery driver with Ameren met with the commission to ask if they could use the county farm to store their supplies during a conversion in Lewistown where they will build 2 new substations starting July and finishing in December- the commission gave Ameren permission to store poles at the county farm
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, June 17, 2024, by Commissioner Whiston, Commissioner Murphy seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed, passed 3-0.
