La Grange City Council Meeting Minutes February 9th and February 23rd, 2026

*Key notes from the most recently approved LaGrange City Council meetings held on February 9, 2026 and February 23, 2026:

The council approved the consent agenda, including the January 26 minutes and current bills. In the City Engineer report, the council approved authorizing the mayor to sign the re-application for the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

Under the City Administrator’s report, the council completed the first and second readings and then passed Bill/Ordinance #2026-684, an ordinance regarding definitions and restrictions on the operation of video gaming machines. During the same meeting, the council reviewed audit bids submitted by Sikich ($35,000), BerganKDV ($34,000), and Decker & Pace ($15,000), noting that the bids would be reviewed further and placed on the February 23 agenda. The February 9 meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.

The council met again on February 23, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. 

The consent agenda was approved, including the February 9 minutes and current bills. During public comments, representatives from 4 Points Land Surveying & Engineering attended to answer questions regarding the option of regionalizing water service with the Clark County Water District. 

They stated that Canton has signed a letter of intent to proceed with regionalization and urged LaGrange to reconsider. City Engineer Mark Bross stated that LaGrange has decided to pursue its own water project for multiple reasons, and Mayor Corbin thanked everyone for attending.

 The city again stated its decision not to regionalize with Clark County Water District.

Under the City Administrator’s report on February 23, the council approved an audit services agreement with Decker & Pace LLC. City Administrator John Roach also reviewed the court budget and cemetery budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. With no further business, the February 23 meeting adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
