City of LaGrange, MO Council Meeting Minutes for October 14, 2025 – 5:30pm

Mayor Bob Corbin called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Councilmember Robyn Cottrell present, Councilmember James Dade present, Councilmember Carol Henze present, Councilmember Gail Kindhart present, Councilmember Barry Pfister absent, and Councilmember Don Zahn absent.
City Employees/Visitors: City Administrator John Roach present, City Clerk Kim Schneider present, Police Chief Aaron Johnson present, Officer Troy Bastin present.

CONSENT AGENDA:
Approval of Agenda – October 14, 2025

Treasurer’s Report – August & September
Motion by Councilmember Henze to approve the consent agenda, motion second by Councilmember Dade, motion carried 4 yes, 2 absent.
CITY ENGINEER REPORT – No questions.
MAYOR’S REPORT –Open House at Backridge Landfill 10/15 – lunch provided
CITY CLERK’S REPORT – Nothing
CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT –
Post Office Update – John reported that after sending the lease agreement to the Post Office he received an email from Hudson Waters – JLL Public Institutions regretting to inform us that the project has been placed on hold and will likely be cancelled. Apparently, while John and Hudson were negotiating a new deal the USPS was working on a renewal at the current location. Hudson was shocked by this news and extremely surprised and very sorry, as the deal was so close to being complete. John has not been able to discuss with Jeff Curl yet, about any legal questions.

Adjournment: With nothing further before the Council, Councilmember Dade made the motion to adjourn at 5:49 p.m., motion second by Councilmember Cottrell, motion carried 4 yes, 2 absent.
